Winter Carnival is in the air at St. Joseph School! We will be celebrating Carnaval the week of February 6-10. Throughout the week, the students will be involved in a variety of activities while learning about the traditions surrounding the Quebec Winter Carnival, and other Carnival celebrations around the world. Activities include LOTO (Bingo), Snow-sculpture making, participating in various theme days, and much more!
On Tuesday, February 7th, students in grades 1-4 will participate in a virtual concert of a Franco-Ontarian family band named Ariko. Students will learn to sing 3 traditional French language songs, call and response songs, and participate in traditional French-Canadian foot-stomping. On Friday, February 10th, students in JK-Gr.8 are invited to come to our French café and enjoy a hot chocolate and nut-free cookie.
Please note the theme days below. Students are asked to participate in the theme days or wear school uniform.
