Updates for Temporary Remote Learning

Temporary remote learning:

Temporary remote learning is currently available, until February 22, 2022, for students enrolled in face-to-face learning. Students who chose temporary remote learning may return to face-to-face learning at any time. However, during this time of temporary remote learning, switching back and forth between the two modalities is not permitted unless for reasons of illness. Students in Kindergarten should receive a minimum of 100 minutes of daily synchronous instruction and students in Grades 1 to 8 should receive a minimum of 140 minutes of daily synchronous instruction.

Temporary Remote Learning for Students Who Are Ill or Absent Due to Screening:

Students who are absent due to illness are to receive the same degree of daily synchronous instruction as students who are temporarily remote. The first day of such absences will be asynchronous. This also applies to any students who are required to isolate as per the direction given on the Provincial Screening Tool.
