Winter Carnival is in the air at St. Joseph School! We will be celebrating Carnaval the week of February 5-9. Throughout the week, the students will be involved in a variety of activities while learning about the traditions surrounding the Quebec Winter Carnival, and other Carnival celebrations around the world. Activities include LOTO (Bingo), Snow-sculpture making, participating in various theme days, and much more! On Tuesday, January 23rd, students in grades 1-3 participated in a bilingual African drumming presentation with Cameroonian singer Njacko Backo. On Friday, February 9th, students in JK-Gr.8 are invited to come to our French café and enjoy a hot chocolate and nut-free cookie. Students are asked to participate in the theme days or wear the school uniform.
